Huddersfield Grammar School – The Nursery

Because The Whole Child is The Whole Point

Have you got the back to school feeling that the end of summer brings?!

For me it started when I was a pupil at St David’s in Marsh – now Huddersfield Grammar School. My tiny little peg to hang my coat on – seeing my name there (with a little duck next to it to make it welcoming) totally freaked me out. My first real sign of responsibility, ‘right I need to look after my own coat now, I need to make sure it gets back on that peg’ – A BIG deal when you’re 4!

Huddersfield Grammar School has since expanded its offering to include a superb nursery facility, fully preparing children from the age of 3 for what school life is going to look and feel like! 4 year old me would have so welcomed that!

The nursery is set in the original Victorian part of the school which immediately makes it feel like a big home, the woodland the children have access to is so exciting (I have first hand den building experience here). The nursery have access to all the facilities within the school including the food technology lab, the indoor and outdoor sports facilities and the outdoor learning areas.

A HUGE benefit is that they re currently offering FREE wrap around care. The core nursery hours are 8.20am – 3.15pm but your child can add on the free Breakfast Club from 7.30am and the free After School Club until 5.30pm every day. Sign me up!

If you would like to book a viewing you can do so by clicking here.

There is also a whole school Open Day on the 26th September which you can book here.
