Huddle is run by Sarah Hancock, Sarah has lived and worked in Huddersfield all her life and it is the incredible people, sense of community, stunning landscapes and cheaper houses that have kept her here.
Way back in 2002 Sarah went to go and do some work experience at the then local radio station in Huddersfield ‘Home 107.9’. Nick Hancock was the programme controller at the time and she left her 2 weeks of work experience with a new job and a new boyfriend!
That boyfriend became a husband and now a father to their 2 children. Nick has worked in radio for around 39 years having set up the highly successful Bedroom FM when he was 6, presenting live radio every day to his teddies. He then went on to present on various stations around the country spending the last 16 years on air in Harrogate.
When the license became available for Huddersfield we both knew it was the right time for us to bring back local radio to Huddersfield and so Huddle was born.
We cannot wait to get going, Bringing you the best of life in Huddersfield from the 1st September.
