If you want some inspiration – look no further than Alex Keighley, absolutely ruling the roost at Huddersfield Golf Club, brand new chair of TGI, the UK’s leading golf retail group (the first female EVER to hold this position) former European Tour player and all round incredible human being. Al answers our questions this weekend.
A true International woman Al has been the Head Pro at HGC since 2012. Speaking of her appointment at TGI Al recently said “Being on Tour was great and I met some great people, including my husband. I had some amazing times, but there were a lot of negatives too,” she reflected. “I remember giving my first lesson to an old captain at Huddersfield and he tipped me an extra £15 and I thought this is a much easier way to make money than slogging around on Tour.”
She mixes humour, warmth, incredible golfing ability with an extraordinary work ethic, she is a real powerhouse and Huddersfield is very lucky to have her.

Rory McIlory, love him.
