BIG ZIP CHALLENGE

No, nope, absolutely not – oh, it’s at the Accu – oh well…. maybe, that’s interesting, oh ok actually – that might be fun.

This seems to be the general thought process for people who are considering the challenge that the Huddersfield Town Foundation have put on for the 19th September……..

Huddersfield Town Foundation is calling on thrill-seekers, football supporters and fundraisers to take on an unforgettable challenge this September by zip wiring across the Accu Stadium while raising vital funds for local communities.

Taking place on Saturday 19 September, the Foundation’s BIG ZIP Challenge offers participants the unique opportunity to experience Huddersfield Town’s home ground from a completely different perspective, all while supporting life-changing programmes across Kirklees.

Participants will soar across one of Huddersfield’s most iconic landmarks, creating lasting memories while helping the Foundation continue delivering community initiatives that help local people to thrive.

To secure a place, participants are asked to commit to raising a minimum of £150 in sponsorship. Every pound raised will directly support the Foundation’s work, helping people of all ages across Kirklees access opportunities that improve physical and mental wellbeing, develop skills and build stronger connections within their communities.

The event is proudly sponsored by Huddersfield Town Foundation’s Official Health and Wellbeing Partners, STADA Thornton & Ross, whose support is helping to make the challenge possible.

Lucy Summerton, Fundraising and Partnerships Manager at Huddersfield Town Foundation, said:

“The BIG ZIP Challenge is an incredible opportunity for people to do something truly memorable while supporting a cause that makes a real difference locally.”

“Participants will get to experience the Accu Stadium in a way that very few people ever have, while knowing that every pound they raise is helping to support individuals, families and communities across Kirklees.”

“We’re delighted to be bringing this challenge to Huddersfield and are incredibly grateful to STADA Thornton & Ross for their support. We would encourage anyone interested to sign up early, as places are limited.”

Funds raised through the challenge will enable Huddersfield Town Foundation to continue delivering programmes that tackle health inequalities, improve wellbeing, inspire learning and create opportunities for people to connect and thrive.

With demand expected to be high and places limited, organisers are encouraging those interested to register as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.
