How Crystal Confident Are You?

Do you have a box or a bag of crystals lying around at home, maybe in a drawer or cupboard or even just on the side gathering dust?

Perhaps you have an entire display cabinet of crystals because you are inexplicably drawn to them but still have no clue what any of them are or do?

Maybe you go to a fair, market, museum or even venture into a crystal shop, but feel entirely overwhelmed by the sheer amount of choice on offer and leave with nothing.

If any of the above resonates with you then read on and let us explore together the magic of crystals and how you can harness their energy to help you in your day-to-day life.

Crystals are from the earth (unless they are a tektite and then they are a combination of debris from meteorite impact and minerals from the earth, these are super cool. Tektites are amorphous meaning they have no crystalline structure; therefore, their energy moves and flows in all directions)

Crystals are made up of atoms (just like we are, everything is energy) these atoms bond into regular and repeating patterns which create solid forms in precise geometry, nothing is by accident. All crystals are born from heat and/or pressure.

So that’s the sciency bit, but what about their healing properties?  Can crystals really help us as well-being tools in our everyday life? My answer to this is a resounding, full body, 100% YES

Why do I believe this?  I have first-hand evidence of how crystals have helped me to draw in health, happiness and abundance into mine and my family’s lives.  A crystal grid built specifically for my son to secure the college place of his dreams was a resounding success paired with a gemstone bracelet he wore for his audition that gave him confidence (he still wears it now whenever he needs a bit more oomph)

We use black crystals at home for pain relief, jaw ache, headaches, these can be helped enormously with the application of a black crystal such as Shungite, known for its health-related properties, black onyx or any other black or dark coloured crystal.  The reason black crystals help with pain is because they are the energetic protectors, meaning they soak up any negative energy and, as most of the physical pain has an emotional, therefore energetic root, such as stress, anxiety or grief, they also soak up the pain.

I am also sure I was some kind of crystal keeper from an ancient civilization in another lifetime (but that’s a story for another time)

When I teach my students about crystals, we work predominantly with colour.  Colour is one of the easiest ways to simplify the way that crystals can be incorporated into your day-to-day life, without the overwhelm of having to know exactly what the properties of the millions of crystals are.  For example, say you are presenting in a big meeting and need your voice to be heard and communication to be clear and flow freely, a blue crystal would be your go to, like sodalite, blue lace agate or aquamarine. Perhaps you want to bring a new creative project to life, here orange crystals would be your best friend like peach aventurine or tangerine quartz. Or you feel like you need to give yourself a little more grace and self-love, pink crystals like rose quartz or pink aragonite would be the perfect companions for you.

Crystals are one of the most portable well-being tools around. You can pop them in your pocket, in your bra (just remember at the end of the day or at the gym, otherwise you have to play a nightly game of hunt the crystal) you can wear them as a bracelet on your wrist or in a necklace. Have them in your handbag or in your car, on your bedside table or under your pillow. The possibilities are endless!

Crystals, like any other well-being tool, work with intention and energy.  For them to be useful, you need to look after them and tell them what you need them to do for you. This is a simple 3 step process, I like to call Tripple C

  1. Cleanse your crystals

Moonlight, water (only safe for certain crystals that are not friable), sage or palo santo smudging or pure intention (hold them and ask for them to be cleansed) can be used to cleanse

  1. Charge your crystals

Sunlight (be careful as some crystals will lose their colour in the sun) selenite (as a wand or a platform for charging) or pure intention (hold them and ask them to be charged)

  1. Communicate with/Activate your crystals

Pure intention, simply hold them and tell them what you want them to do in your life

See, as easy as 1,2,3!

It is important to follow this 3-step process regularly with your crystals and is crucial when you choose a new crystal (or are gifted one) and bring it into your home. You don’t want to be bringing anyone else’s bad ju ju into your life.

If you would like to learn more about becoming crystal confident, I am running an in-person workshop from my SoulFull Sanctuary in Holmfirth on Friday 26th June, 6.30-8.30pm.  We will be learning all about crystal properties and how different crystals can be a powerful aid every day. We will also build a crystal grid which you can take home with you, all crystals and materials are included in the ticket price.

There is an early bird offer until 19th June but be quick as there is only one early bird space remaining.
